Turbulent Flow

My birthday was this week. This week also marks the one year anniversary of the official breakdown of my marriage and my initiation into the single parenting ranks. Not unrelatedly, it also marks the anniversary since I last.... ahem. Yep, my 39th lap around the sun has been one of the most challenging thus far. The good news, is that in some ways I am actually looking forward to turning forty. I see the upcoming year as full of opportunity. Last year was about stopping the car, backing up, checking the map, swearing profanely and finding a gas station to ask for directions. This year is dedicated to cranking the radio up and singing along.
